Preventing a ransomware attack requires a broad cybersecurity structure, but that is not all. Below are important points that require attention.
  • Organization – Having documentation of the IT environment greatly helps the prevention process, as does keeping networks and computers organized. Develop rules so that new employees clearly understand the company’s policy regarding the installation and use of programs on computers.
  • Strong passwords – Passwords must be strong, containing more than 8 characters, including regular and special characters. Do not use a single password for multiple credentials.
