Synology NAS Data Recovery

We recover your important data from Synology NAS systems. We have the solution for your data loss. Through years of experience, many years of know-how about RAID systems and Synology company NAS functionality, your data loss becomes a successful data recovery. With Digital Recovery, the recovery of your defective Synology NAS is in safe hands.

NAS – Network Attached Storage

A NAS is a storage device with its own operating system that is connected directly to the network as a data server. Once the NAS is set up, it can be connected directly to the switch and so all network users have access to the data on the NAS regardless of operating system.

A NAS usually consists of multiple hard disks organized within a RAID system. Synology NAS also uses RAID. We recover your data regardless of the RAID level and Synology NAS model.

Potential Problems with Synology NAS Systems

Physical problems:

  • Faulty RAID controller
  • Circuit problems
  • Hit head on one or more hard disks
  • Dirty read/write head
  • Superficial damage to discs
  • Bad blocks – bad sectors on hard disks
  • Natural wear and tear of storage media (HDD or SSD)
  • Magnetic disk surface scratches on hard disks
  • Hard disk serious risks
  • Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) no longer recognizes the RAID volume.
  • Physical defect in storage devices
  • Damage to the motor of one of the discs
  • Disk failure at SHR
  • Problems with the servomechanism of the discs

Logical Problems:

  • Deletion or corruption of data on partitions
  • Deleting the partition
  • Deletion of files and folders
  • Synonolgy SHR Corruption
  • Overwriting information
  • Formatting and subsequent reinstallation of the system
  • Problems with system startup
  • Volume Corruption
  • Storage overflow problem on Synology server
  • DiskStation Manager (DSM) is no longer accessible

Configuration problems:

  • Loss of RAID array data
  • Matrix information deleted due to re-installation
  • Deleting or modifying the RAID controller configuration
  • Elimination or modification of the matrix volume
  • Loss of order of the hard disks
  • Attempting to rebuild the volume without all disks

What data loss customers have asked us for before a successful data recovery:

  • My DiskStation has two defective 4TB hard drives. Can you restore my NAS? This has been my only backup. All the files are important to me.
  • The led status on my DiskStation DS409 is flashing red. I think my NAS has crashed. Can you still recover my data?
  • I urgently need a rescue of my faulty NAS. I think the configuration of the raid is corrupted. I haven’t deleted anything, but I can no longer access my files. The individual drives don’t seem to be the cause. But there is an error message about DSM. Can my data be recovered?
  • Help, I need a NAS data recovery for my failed DS211 on Raid5. How big is the effort. What is the cost of a repair?
  • Two of the disks in my DS920+ have gone. I’ve lost all access to our small business data. It’s the super disaster. All due to a couple of faulty hard drives. Can you help us? Please contact me as soon as possible. This is an emergency.
  • My entire photo collection is lost. Over 20 years of our family experiences have just disappeared. There seems to be a broken disk. A friend tried to get to the DS via external access with Linux, but the device is not recognized. Can they fix my Synology NAS?
  • I tried restoring my Synology DiskStation NAS to a degraded raid state, but I think I made it worse. It always wants to format now. Of course I don’t want that to happen. I really need the data. It’s about 8TB of documents and CAD data that is relevant for data recovery. Unfortunately, I don’t have a backup.
  • Instead of backing up the NAS to an external hard drive, I relied fully on server redundancy. The NAS has now suffered damage and I have lost around 800GB of important files. Can you help me with my data loss on my Synology DS220+? It’s not urgent, but I really need data recovery.
