We recently had the opportunity to help a medium-sized German data center and hosting company that suffered a BlackCat ransomware attack. The company contacted us after conducting a Google search, looking for a reliable and effective solution to recover their data.
The attack caused severe damage and the company was paralysed for more than 30 days. HP and IBM storage systems were attacked by BlackCat ransomware, which affected more than 10TB of data. The ransomware entered the system through vulnerabilities in VPN protocols, which made it more difficult for the customer to detect the attack.
