A small Indian hosting company suffered a devastating attack from the ARGS ransomware. The company, which provided hosting services to a large list of customers, had its websites taken offline and was paralysed for several days.
The attackers targeted VMs on ESXi affecting more than 10 virtual servers. They demanded a ransom of $40,000, which the company could not pay.
