ICHTHYS approached us at an extremely delicate moment. The company had faced a fire that completely compromised its IT environment. Their two main servers, a database and a fileserver, had been directly affected. The scenario was bleak: the disks were melted, the production environment completely inoperative, and the only available backup had also been destroyed by the flames.
With the physical infrastructure collapsed, the operation was reduced to only 10% of its capacity, operating in an improvised manner, in a temporary location with a lean team. The severity of the situation was such that ICHTHYS managers even considered permanently closing the company, until they discovered that data recovery was still possible.
From a technical standpoint, the challenge was significant: two disks in RAID 1, totaling about 4 TB of critical data, completely inaccessible. These disks contained not only administrative files but also fundamental historical records, including documentary data related to most banks operating in Brazil. A decades-old collection, whose loss would be irreparable.
It was in this scenario that our team sprang into action. We immediately activated our physical disaster response protocol and began analyzing the damaged equipment. The complexity of extracting the disks was high, considering they were housed in a partially melted server. We used advanced and specific techniques for recovering media impacted by extreme heat, developed internally over the years for disaster scenarios like this.
Throughout the process, we prioritized humanized and empathetic communication. We knew we were dealing with much more than a technical problem — it was the survival of a company. Our specialists were essential at this point. From the first contact, they acted with active listening, support, and clarity, offering confidence and transparency to the ICHTHYS team amid the chaos.
In just four business days, we conducted the entire project cycle: device diagnostics, secure data recovery, and validation with the company’s technical team. The result was absolute: all data was recovered with validated integrity. At the end of the process, the company was able to resume its operations with full access to all the content they thought was lost forever.
We received feedback from the ICHTHYS team that summarizes the impact of the delivery:
“You have no idea how happy we are to see all our data recovered and working in the homologation.”
For us, this type of recognition confirms that our mission goes beyond technical recovery; it’s about restoring business continuity, preserving histories, and keeping companies alive even in the most extreme moments.
