NEEH ransomware is one of the newest and most lethal data encryption agents in circulation, the group has been responsible for numerous attacks around the world, causing hundreds of dollars in damage.
NEEH encrypts the victim’s data using the RSA and AES algorithms, these are the most commonly used algorithms by ransomware groups.
This encryption can only be broken with the decryption key that is generated after the encryption process has been completed and is kept on a remote server controlled by the group.

With all system defenses disabled the encryption is started, the .NEEH extension is added to all affected files. After finishing the encryption a text file with the name “info.txt” is automatically generated, in which the group leaves the means for the victim to contact them to make the payment.
Usually the ransom is paid in cryptocurrencies, because they are practically untraceable, these payments finance the group to carry out new attacks. This is why government authorities do not recommend paying the ransom.
